Maryborough Management committee is thrilled to announce SEAN DENNEHY of dennehyproductions as the Director of Happy Ever After.
Sean stated that he is excited at the prospect of connecting with Maryborough, the Brolga Theatre and Maryborough Players once again,
to bring this adapted script to life as a stage production.

In 2015 Sean directed the very successful production – Mary Poppins Broadway Musical. In 2012 he directed the
Step In Time events for the Mary Poppins Festival and in 2014 Maryborough Players contracted Sean
to hold a Director and Actor’s workshop weekend.

The musical production of Mary Poppins – Happy Ever After will light up the stage of the Brolga Theatre on
Friday 29th and Saturday 30th June during the 2018 Mary Poppins Festival.
Maryborough Players Inc has been given permission by the Trustees of the PL Travers Will Trust to adapt
Chapter 7 – Happy Ever After from the PL Travers book, Mary Poppins Opens the Door.

This production is a world premiere and will highlight the wonderful story telling and characters that
PL Travers has made famous in her Mary Poppins books, not only for children but also for adults to enjoy.

The chapter of the book has been written and adapted as a stage production
by experienced and skilled writer – Catherine Gamble (CQ University).
